My first incidence of sleep walking, that I remember, was when I was 16 years old and had been driving only a short amount of time.
My brother and I had gone to the drive inn theater in my car and were watching a movie. The movie was either a dull one or I was excessively [...]

If your child exhibits any of the following, during the night, you might want to have them checked for possible sleep apnea or other sleep disorder.
Maybe they snore loudly for a while and then get quiet. Bed wetting is [...]

Not only does a snoring child disrupt the sleep of his brothers, sisters and possibly his/her parents, they also run the risk of many severe health related problems later in life.
Enlarged tonsils or adenoids can be the culprit in children’s sleep apnea and the accompanying snoring. Another cause could be an infection which partially blocks [...]

One of the articles I read lately says there’s a new device being tested for helping keep the air passages open for sleep apnea sufferers according to researchers at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Sleep apnea is most commonly found in overweight, middle aged men. Guess what profile that fits. You got it, America’s truckers.
A recent government study found that fully 28% of America’s truck drivers [...]

The already inefficient government workers in Germany will now be given a 30 minute snooze time off per day.
If that isn’t enough, they will have to set up “snooze rooms” at a cost of who knows how much so the workers have a sleep conducive atmosphere in which to sleep.
Holger Wuttig, the Social Democrat MP [...]

If you’re a day sleeper you’re faced with all the sleep challenges of night sleepers plus a whole array of other ones.
Nighttime is usually a quiet time and so noise doesn’t normally play a big part in keeping a night sleeper awake.
Not so with day sleepers. Traffic noise, construction noise, kids playing loudly and other [...]

This study concludes that we can’t catch up on sleep we’ve missed.
Researchers at Northwestern University in the US found that animals that are deprived from sleep over a period of time no longer try to make up for the deficit. So your Sunday afternoon nap, trying to make up for the lost sleep during the [...]
